“Arirang” (Korean: “아리랑”) is a Korean folk song, often considered the unofficial national anthem of Korea. In December 2012, the song was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity program by UNESCO.

For the Korean Traditional Anniversary ‘Chuseok’, KBS1 TV consisted Special Program ‘Arirang Daegongyeon’ (Korean: ‘아리랑 대공연’, English translation: ‘The Arirang Performances). Various versions of ‘Arirang’ were shown. (Jazz version, Orchestra version and so on) Band Pia remade ‘Arirang’ into rock version and it is named as ‘Chungchun Arirang’. (Korean: ‘청춘 아리랑’, English translation: The youth of Arirang) Band Pia performed ‘Chungchun Arirang’ and whole generation enjoyed it!

-Korean original
아리랑, 아리랑, 아라리요…
Arirang, Arirang, Arariyo…
아리랑 고개로 넘어간다.
Arirang gogaero neomeoganda.
나를 버리고 가시는 님은
Nareul beorigo gasineun nimeun
십리도 못가서 발병난다.
Simnido motgaseo balbbyeongnanda.

-English translation
Arirang, Arirang, Arariyo…
Crossing over Arirang Pass.
Dear who abandoned me [here]
Shall not walk even ten li before his/her feet hurt.
